Because their lives are already over. Maybe not literally (yet…?), but if you can’t appreciate Malcolm Brickhouse and Jarad Dawkins, the Brooklyn-based preteens who formed brutal metal band Unlocking the Truth with childhood friend Alec Atkins a few years ago, then you’re already dead. I mean, damn, just look at that afro.
According to Malcolm in an interview with The Avant/Garde Diaries: “I know a lot of people doubt me. But then I really don’t listen to those people, because I know I’m going to be famous anyway.” Gawker adds:
[Jarad Dawkins says], “Now I’m writing a book. The book is about people who are being bullied in school and they joined a band, and they have became rich and famous, and they toured all over the world. And people that judged them, they have became homeless. And it’s, like, based on a true story.” (Via)
I take it back. Pity no one. SLAY everyone.
