Pusha T And Adidas Originals Go Three-For-Three With Their Latest Sneaker Collab

Kanye isn’t the only G.O.O.D. Music artist who knows how to cook up remarkable footwear. For the third consecutive time, Pusha T proves his eye for creating flyness is on par with ‘Ye’s with the unveiling of his third collaboration with adidas Originals. On Wednesday, the Three Stripes shared the first look at the ‘Grayscale’ King Push EQT.

Sticking to the script has always been part of Pusha’s mantra as a MC and the approach appears to apply to kicks as well. That means he stays with an EQT model and retains the fishscale pattern utilized on both of the previous versions, the ‘Black Market‘ and original off white pairs. But, that’s where staying the same ends because this new iteration comes decked out in gray suede and adds Boost tech to bring something new to the table. Clearly, there wasn’t any need to fix what wasn’t broken. They just opted to tweak things slightly and it looks to be for the better.

To add an extra touch unveiling, Pusha and the Originals crew called on famed photographer and filmmaker Ari Marcopoulous for a very special photoshoot, who also went with a little bit of the old and new in the process, mixing vintage and modern film development techniques to capture a sense of rawness with the imagery. “I wanted to do something simple and authentic but unique,” Marcopoulous said via press release. “The process of shooting 8×10 photography is analog. What’s great about it is that you become very focused…It forces the subject and photographer to collaborate and seize the moments that are most essential to the story. It really becomes a collaboration between subject and photographer. It takes concentration from both and that often results into an image unlike any other.”

Currently, the ‘Grayscale’ King Push EQT is set to release on December 3rd with full release details likely to be revealed soon. Until then, check out Marcopoulous’ shoot with Pusha styling the kicks below.
