Has your Game of Thrones withdrawal set in yet? It will soon enough. Just wait until you find yourself watching True Blood this Sunday. But what are we — your humble servants — here for if it’s not to get you guys through the tough times? (If you answer is “working with no pants on”: Also, yes.) All the Season 2 GIFs you can possibly handle are over in Josh’s Season 2 Recap, so I’d like to send things in an audio direction.
As Game of Thrones has become more and more of a crossover hit in the last year and a half, countless renditions of the theme have appeared on YouTube. Some are rather brilliant. Some sound like Hodor playing a vuvuzela. We’re going to concentrate on a handful of the former here.
I’ve gathered my seven favorites and ranked them (1-5) in the critical/imaginary categories of Originality, Ingenuity, and Listenability. Enjoy.

There are PLENTY of metal versions on YouTube. This one is the most popular. Pretty decent listen if you’re not too classy for some shredding.
