Hell, I still love you, welcome to New York.
You come and pick me up, take me out, f*ck me up.
It was the summer of ’89.
These are all lyrics that won’t appear on Ryan Adams’ next album, which will cover Taylor Swift’s pop-blockbuster 1989 in its entirety. Adams broke the news last night, saying, “Taylor Swift 1989 full album cover night 1. As played by the Smiths.” Unfortunately (?) Morrissey isn’t involved in the project, but Swift did give her blessing, in the most T-Swift way possible.

Adams and Swift are more similar than you might think. They’ve both dated pop stars, and her entire discography could be summed up with his “young boy, you done me bad, I went and did ya wrong.” Only one of them caused 9/11, though.
