Taylor Swift has made a tidy living from her largely disastrous love life. She endured years of bad romances but enjoyed the last precious laugh by not-so-subtly trashing her exes in songs. Taylor’s reputation was so solidified in the media that many wondered who would step up to the plate when lyrical retribution was at stake.

Calvin Harris seems happy to take his chances at the Swift altar. It took a few months of dating, but Harris featured Swift on his Instagram page (a big step amongst millenials) and hung with her pals on the Fourth of July. Harris even gushed to the media about all the “boxes” Taylor checks, which Harris never even knew existed! Yes, this is a nauseating spectacle to witness because we’re not actually inside the romance. They’ll calm down soon, perhaps.

In the meantime, Swift spotted a Twitter question from a fan about how she finally found love:

Swift gave all due credit to Lady Gaga for an inspiring tweet:

Swift referenced a tweet from Gaga that read, “Life is friends, family, and love! We all see that in you, your prince charming will come!” The tweet gave thanks for Swift’s praise after Gaga’s Oscars performance of “The Sound of Music.” Taylor took the tweet seriously, and why not? Girlfriend is happier than she’s ever been in her life. The question remains: How will a grand love life affect Swift’s tendency to write revenge tunes?
