I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all dreamed of partying with a rock star, and now you can thanks to the pending celebration of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl’s 46th birthday (I’ll give you a second to absorb that Nirvana’s drummer is nearing 50). Just be in the Los Angeles area on Saturday night and have a few dollars to spend on a concert ticket to see Grohl and his bandmates play the Forum.
So, how do you get seats and how much do they cost?
Tickets will cost $50, $10 of which will be spread amongst a trio of charities: Rock School Scholarship Fund, MusiCares, and Sweet Relief. GA floor passes will be limited to four per buyer, with reserved seating limited to eight. Tickets go on sale today at 7:00 PM local time (10:00 PM EST) via Ticketmaster.

$50 isn’t bad for a premium act like Foo Fighters for a special event that, I would imagine, might include a guest appearance or two from one of Grohl’s good-time buddies like Rip Taylor.
I wish I wasn’t more than 3,000 miles away. I’ve sadly only been to two concerts in my life, but one of them was a Foo Fighters/Weezer arena show and they really are amazing live.
I’ve never seen a show “in the round,” either. I imagine that could be awesome. Especially if the band rigs some kind of spinning platform like they have at the auto show. Maybe make it look like a big vinyl record. I’ve got a future in stage design… clearly.
