Even though he starred in a diverse lineup of films throughout his life, including, CB4, Mo’ Better Blues, Harlem Nights, Jungle Fever and was a consummate, stand-up road warrior, entertaining live audience to the end, Murphy will probably be best remembered for his unforgettable turns on the Chappelle Show. Everyone seems to have their favorite, Murphy narrated sketch, whether it was the one about playing hoops with Prince, or Rick James dirtying up his couch.
RIP Charlie.
