The whispers that were heard yesterday are now confirmed to be true. Kendrick Lamar will be performing a very intimate show for fans in the New York City area, but everyone else can sit in for the performance, too.
The TDE rapper has just announced a secret show set to go down at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on this Friday, December 16. A limited number of tickets were released on Thursday but only to American Express cardholders and appear to be sold out at this point. But, there are no worries for anyone who wasn’t able to score or just plain doesn’t live anywhere near Brooklyn. The performance is set to be aired via a livestream hosted on Lamar’s Facebook page and the American Express Facebook page as well. So, anyone not in attendance can plan on blocking off at least an hour of time at 9 p.m. EST in order to watch.
The performance is part of a recent partnership between the Compton rapper and the credit card company. He was featured in a set of commercials with basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal in support of Small Business Saturday and he also played an AMEX-sponsored set at Art Basel in Miami a few weeks back.
