If the season ended today, the Milwaukee Bucks (32-27) would be the six seed in the Eastern Conference and would be playing the Chicago Bulls. If a recent photo is to be believed, the Milwaukee Bucks don’t want to be the six seed and do not want to play the Chicago Bulls.
That’s because pop star Ariana Grande was recently spotted on the Bucks’ official Facebook page wearing a personalized Grande jersey.
The only logical conclusion is that the Bucks are trying to make an extra push down the stretch to improve their seeding by signing Grande to a 10-day contract. As other teams around the league try to improve their rosters by any means necessary, let’s look at the Grande move and try to break down what it means for Milwaukee.
Pro: Elusive
She has the ability to break free at a moment’s notice. There are also reports out there that she’s stronger than she’s been before, which has to be good news for the Bucks who have surely kept tabs on her workout regimen.
Con: Demanding
It’s hard to keep her. She needs a reason to believe in the team. If you show no signs of figuring it out, she’s going to leave, leave, leave again.
Pro: X-Factor
In the right situation she could be good to the Bucks. She’s shown that on a club with a lot of young players she can show them how to graduate to the next level. Is bang bang from long distance.
Con: Spacey
Oftentimes it seems like she has her head in the clouds and has got no weight on her shoulders. At this point in her career, she really should be wiser.
Pro: Honest
Has been contrite about the mistakes she made in her past. Just take a look at this quote from one of her previous stops:
I was a liar. I gave in to the fire. I know I should’ve fought it. At least I’m being honest. Feel like a failure. ‘Cause I know that I failed you. I should’ve done you better.
That shows growth on her part. Teams like to play with a teammate who is self-aware and knows their limitations.
Con: Likes To Be Carried Around Like A Baby
It’s really too early to tell if this is a move that would pay off, but at this point in the season, it’s a risk worth taking. If Milwaukee’s willing to give Ariana Grande just a little bit of its heart – and a few minutes – she could be the spark they need to close out the season on a roll.
