As you may have heard, FIFA’s much maligned president, Sepp Blatter, resigned on Tuesday just six days after winning re-election. ABC News reports that Blatter is the subject of an FBI investigation, presumably related to arrests of several FIFA officials last week in Switzerland.
Naturally, the internet was quite elated at the news of Blatter’s resignation. Here are just some of the best reactions:
Blatter has resigned. Can't quite believe it. FIFA always appeared to be such a fine upstanding organisation.

Great day for world soccer. But can FIFA be trusted to vote in a legitimate reformer to replace Blatter? The structure itself is rotten.

If you're assuming #SeppBlatter resigned NOT under threat from somebody or some organization, you're naive enough to work for Roger Goodell
