Let’s get this out of the way: Dez Bryant did not cheer when Ricardo Lockette got knocked out during Sunday’s game. That much seems pretty obvious. If anything, it looks like Bryant got into it with some members of the Seahawks about something unrelated.
Again, it’s impossible to know for sure, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt here. Saying “that’s what you f*ckin get” just seems weird when a guy is lying there motionless on the field.
Anyway, for some reason, word of said faux social media outrage reached Dez after the game. And again, to reiterate, this entire thing is based on a single clip of Bryant yelling at some Seahawks, something that likely occurred at least a dozen times during the game. So Bryant felt the need to address the nonsense on his Twitter account
He was not happy.
And now the tweet has been deleted.
RECAP:
1) Dez didn’t taunt Lockette
2) People accused Dez of taunting Lockette
3) Video evidence was probably in Dez’s favor
4) Dez tweeted, then deleted what really happened on the field
Yes, this is all very stupid.
*UPDATE: Dez addressed the “bullsh*t media” again in the post-game scrum.
