The Michigan State Spartans upset Ohio State on Saturday night, defeating the Buckeyes on a last-second field goal by Michael Geiger. Kickers don’t often get to be the focus of a game-winning celebration, so Geiger made sure to make his celly count…and boy did he ever.
After drilling the 40-yard game-winner, Geiger sprinted more than half the length of the field while rocking a vicious arm-windmill. It seemed to be an incredibly cathartic moment for the kicker, who missed a try earlier in the game and, for the most part, has had a difficult year trying to put the ball between the uprights.
But on Saturday, that man was a king with all the right moves when it counted.
