Back To The Future Part 2 predicted that the Cubs will defeat Miami in the 2015 World Series. While that isn’t possible in real life, rumors are stirring that the Cubs are ready to make a run for the title and the Volo Auto Museum is attempting to make it special if it comes true. From NBC Chicago:
Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois says it is prepared to give away a 1981 exhibition model DeLorean, valued at $85,000, should the Cubs become champions for the first time in more than 100 years
The contest begins on March 21 and ends one day prior to the World Series. This is where I would joke about Cubs fans not having to worry about seeing such things, but who knows. I certainly didn’t expect to see the Royals roll through the playoffs and into the World Series as easily as they did.
I’m all for surprise when it comes to baseball and maybe the Cubs will prove Robert Zemeckis to be some sort of time wizard. Then we can slaughter him, boil his remains and claim his power for ourselves. Motion capture for all!
