As we mentioned on Friday, the racing and design team known as “Porcubimmer” created its very own model of “The Homer”, the “world’s ugliest car”. Designed by Homer Simpson himself, the Homer led to the demise of his estranged brother Herb’s automobile company, while winning our hearts. On Saturday, the Homer (a BMW 3 Series at heart) made its debut in the 24 Hours of LeMons race at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow, California, and the results were… I have no clue.
I can’t find the results of the weekend race anywhere yet, but I did find this brief video clip of the Homer in action at Buttonwillow, and it’s about as great as we expected.
Maybe great isn’t the best word to use for a 10-second clip that is only validated by a Homer Simpson sound bite, but it’s a good start. In the meantime, I’m going to keep scouring for footage and results, and you can enjoy this crash on the second to last lap of the race yesterday while you patiently await my fruitful efforts.
