In the top of the ninth inning of a scoreless game between the Cubs and Mets on Wednesday night, Anthony Rizzo was attempting a steal of third base to put the go-ahead run only 90 feet away. The throw from the catcher had him beat pretty handily, but thanks to some clever maneuvering, Rizzo was somehow able to avoid the tag.
Either Rizzo has been practicing his ninja moves, or this is yet another example proving the matrix is real.
Rizzo did not end up scoring the go-ahead run, but the Cubs would still end up winning the game, 2-0, in 11 innings.
