Things have not gone well for the Houston Texans this season. They were a disappointing 2-4 heading into this week and, just when you thought it couldn’t get much worse, they had an amazingly awful weekend. Not only did Houston get absolutely destroyed by the Dolphins in a 44-26 rout in Miami, but they also lost their franchise running back in Arian Foster.
Foster will likely miss the rest of the season after reportedly tearing his Achilles on this weird, non-contact play. Foster lined up as a slot receiver and, while attempting to break off the line and accelerate, went down immediately off the snap and had to be helped off of the field.
Adam Schefter was the first to report that doctors believed a tear to be the diagnosis.
Texans confirmed RB Arian Foster hurt his Achilles. Doctors believe it is torn. Horrible.

That’s obviously pretty heartbreaking news for the Texans, their fans, and Foster. It always stinks to see a guy who works as hard as Foster does get sidelined by a devastating injury.
Update: NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirms that it is a torn Achilles for Foster.
Source: #Texans RB Arian Foster has, in fact, torn his Achilles. His season is over.
