As any college football fan knows, Kansas State coach Bill Snyder is awesome. Snyder is known for getting the most out of his players no matter their recruiting rankings, namely because his squads are considered some of the toughest and most disciplined teams in all of college football.
Apparently, that toughness stems from the team’s head coach, as Snyder showed during Saturday’s game against Texas. Senior defensive back Morgan Burns returned a Longhorns kick, and he had a little space down the right side, but he was pushed out of bounds. Burns couldn’t control his momentum, and he accidentally ran right into Snyder and sent the Wildcats’ coach to the ground.
It was a scary sight, namely because Snyder is 76 years old, but the good news is Snyder got up and went back to coaching like nothing happened.
(yes, Bill Snyder was fine after that play)

It’s been a rough month or so for Kansas State, as the team lost three in a row to start the Big 12 portion of its schedule 0-3, and is coming off a recent blowout loss to Oklahoma. Maybe seeing the team’s septuagenarian coach bounce back from something like this is the shot in the arm that the Wildcats need going forward.
