In somewhat shocking news, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar announced his retirement from the UFC. Lesnar, the current WWE Heavyweight champion, also announced a new deal with WWE, one he signed in secret Monday night.
“The fighter inside of me wants to compete. The father, the husband – I’m an older caveman now. So I make wiser caveman decisions. So I’m here to say my legacy in the octagon is over. However my legacy this Sunday at Wrestlemania will not be my last.”
Lesnar said he went back and forth with his decision for over a year. Ultimately, he “wasn’t there mentally.”
He is scheduled to fight Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania this Sunday.
