“I don’t remember the first hit. I just remember him charging at me.”
In August of 2014, former MMA fighter Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver reportedly walked into the home of his ex-girlfriend, porn actress Christy Mack and nearly beat her and another man to death. The word “reportedly” is unfortunate here because Mack suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. She broke 10 bones, had a broken nose, had several knocked out teeth and a severely ruptured liver after a kick to the side. The violence (as evidenced by the pics below) was gruesome to say the least.

Mack spoke to HBO’s Real Sports about the traumatic incident, detailing some of the horrific things that occurred (including the attempted rape). Real Sports also got a hold of the 911 call Mack placed.
“I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t catch my breath. I started convulsing. At that point, I felt like I was going to die. I told him I needed help. I told him I needed to go to the hospital, and he said, ‘There’s nothing they can help you with. They can’t help you now.’
War Machine then led police on a week-long manhunt before being captured and charged with attempted murder, among other things.
Mack has recovered from her physical injuries, but she’s still an emotional wreck. This brief snippet from the interview is painful to watch at times, especially when she details the attempted rape after the beating. How she was able to get through this is beyond me.
