Another day, another really good NFL player going down with a potentially season-ending knee injury. This time, it’s Dallas defensive back Orlando Scandrick, who suffered a knee injury during practice on Tuesday that the Cowboys reportedly fear is a torn ACL. Scandrick, who was a Pro Football Focus All-Pro last year, had to be carted off the field during practice after his knee buckled.
This won't be a shock considering the tweets from the scene but early fears are that Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick tore his ACL today.

The injury occurred when Scandrick collided with wide receiver Lucky Whitehead. According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Scandrick had separated himself from the rest of the Cowboys’ cornerbacks during camp, and he will undergo an MRI soon.

Scandrick missed the first two games of the 2014 season, and ended the season with 55 tackles, nine passes defended, two forced fumbles, two interceptions and a sack. After Scandrick and Whitehead collided, it was apparently obvious to Cowboys players that he suffered a serious injury, with Dallas QB Tony Romo taking to Twitter to say that he fears it was a torn ACL.

With this injury, Scandrick joins Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson and Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin as players who have gone down in the last week with serious knee injuries. As always, the lesson here is that knee injuries are the worst.
