Cris Cyborg Had A Perfect Response To Joe Rogan’s Terribly Offensive Joke About Her

Up until Holly Holm headkicked her into oblivion, it was a generally accepted fact that the only female fighter in the world that could beat Ronda Rousey was Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino. The fearsome Brazilian slugger is 14-1 with 12 of those wins coming by knockout. She basically does with her fists what Ronda does with armbars.

The only thing stopping Rousey and Cyborg from fighting is weight — Ronda fights at 135 pounds and Cris at 145. But as far as Cyborg is concerned, that’s just a smokescreen from the UFC and Ronda to avoid having to fight. Her relationship with the UFC is strained, and things have only gotten worse recently after a podcast with UFC commentator Joe Rogan and UFC president Dana White went live on the internet with jokes about Cyborg “needing to break off her dick to make weight.” Take a listen:

The joke was made by Rogan and celebrity roast comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, but Dana White didn’t defend Cyborg, who is already signed to the UFC in anticipation of her arrival in the 135-pound division.

It must not feel great to be insulted like that and your boss not defending you. Still, Cris seemed to be in more of a joking mood when she told a reporter she’d beat Rogan up “Brazilian style” next time she saw him at a show. As for her next real fight, Cyborg is set to take on tough veteran Cindy Dandois on Jan. 16 at a 140 pound catchweight.

If that goes well, it’s on to a 135 pound fight in the UFC. And then Ronda Rousey? Rousey has unfinished business with Holly Holm, with their rematch expected to go down at UFC 200 in July. With Cyborg waiting in the wings, it’s not gonna be an easy year for Ronda.
