Rest in peace, pretty LPGA Tour trophy. Or rather, “rest in pieces.” LPGA golfer Anna Nordqvist won the LPGA ShopRite Classic late last month. She birdied the 16th and 17th holes on the last round to win the whole thing by a single stroke. She was pretty thrilled to be holding that trophy, too.
“I’m just speechless right now. I fought hard today and I can’t believe I’m sitting here with the trophy.”
But, thanks to FedEx’s horrible packing skills, she’ll need a replacement trophy for the one she was so excited to win.
