Frank Beamer’s Virginia Tech squad gave him a final rivalry victory against the University of Virginia on Saturday and to celebrate, the long-time Hokie head coach dabbed his way into the record books.

With the 23-20 win, Beamer will get to coach his Hokies one more time – in their 23rd consecutive bowl game. When Beamer took over at Virginia Tech in 1986, it was an up-and-coming but also under probation program and – despite several scholarship restrictions for his first years on the job – he built it into a regularly ranked team, including an appearance in the Sugar Bowl in 1999 against Florida State for the national title.
As rumors arose about his service at VT coming to an end earlier in the season, the coach took it upon himself to announce his retirement and set the table for the next coach. As Saturday began, reports came out that current Memphis head coach Justin Fuentes had agreed to terms to be the Hokies next coach, but with nothing confirmed as of yet, Hokie fans will just have to enjoy having Frank around for a few more weeks.
Fingers are crossed that gives us one more time to see him Dab like a crazy man.
