With the Chicago Blackhawks going full dynasty and winning their third Stanley Cup in six years on Monday night, the NHL season officially came to an end. As has become tradition, Hockey Night in Canada said goodbye to fans with a fantastic montage of moments from this year’s playoffs.
There was some question as to whether these montages would survive after Rogers took control of HNiC from CBC prior to this season, and especially when Tim Thompson — the talented video editor responsible for many of the incredible past montages — was let go.
Fortunately for fans, the tradition carried on, and this year’s product — set to Alistair Griffin’s “Always No. 1” — is absolutely amazing.
