Miami Dolphins first-round pick and one-time gas mask weed enthusiast Laremy Tunsil may be getting closer to finding the person who hacked his social media accounts before the NFL Draft.

According to ESPN’s Outside the Lines, Tunsil’s camp believes it was a former business manager who was fired by Tunsil when he learned the man had no license to be a financial advisor. It’s believed the man infiltrated Tunsil’s Twitter and Instagram accounts through an old phone and posted the bong video and screenshots of Tunsil asking an Ole Miss coach for money.

There could be criminal and/or civil charges facing the guilty party.

Tunsil’s fall from the draft’s projected No. 3 pick to No. 13 might have cost him at least $10 million in guaranteed signing bonuses, according to some estimates. A Baltimore Ravens official told ESPN that the team’s front office declined to select Tunsil with the No. 6 pick after watching the video of him smoking the bong.

As for seeking charges against whoever accessed Tunsil’s social media accounts, Tunsil’s attorney Steve Farese said: “It would be up to Laremy, and at the same time, it would be up to the authorities. The victim does not always make the call.”

Social media can be garden variety annoying with its political memes and endless Crying Jordans until it costs you $10 million and ensnares you in a potential criminal case.
