Ken Shamrock, the ‘World’s Most Dangerous Man’ and the godfather of MMA, is introducing a “technical fitness drink” known as the Shamrock Slam.
In an effort to promote the 25-calorie, no sugar beverage, Shamrock will be engaging in a bare knuckle boxing match in the UK against a legend of that sport, James Quinn McDonagh. According to the press release on Shamrock’s website:
Shamrock is in great health and feels invigorated by this opportunity to continue to compete and to continue giving back to his fans. Shamrock is going back to his roots as a fighter. Knowing his body well, Shamrock knows that his decision to re-enter the ring for the love of this sport is a sound decision. Shamrock adamantly believes that age should never be a restriction to any athlete. People can do amazing feats past their prime, if it’s a priority to them.
Shamrock last fought in mixed martial arts in 2010, and he is 3-7 in his last ten fights.
James Quinn McDonagh, seen above, is pretty good at beating up other Irish dads. I think the fight will be evenly matched at this point, regardless of how much Shamrock Slam that Ken drinks during training.
