NaVorro Bowman Used His Knees To Haul In This Impressive Interception

NaVorro Bowman is the heart and soul of the San Francisco 49ers’ defense. He’s an All-Pro who’s capable of doing some awesome stuff, like hauling in an interception with his knees.

One of Rams quarterback Case Keenum’s passes got tipped during Monday night’s game against San Fran. Bowman went up to get it and secured the ball with his hands. On his way down, the ball came out, so Bowman did what anyone would do: try to use another part of his body to bring in the football. For Bowman, that meant clamping his knees together and hoping that the ball would fall there, and that’s exactly what happened.

It kind of looks like the ball may have hit the ground, but after a review, the call on the field stood. It’s kind of hard to tell because this is a pretty weird angle, and you can’t totally figure out if there was any space between the ball and the ground.

Either way, this is an impressive, heads-up play by Bowman – both because he realized the ball was in the air and because he realized that he could catch a football with his knees.
