The respective seasons may be over for New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara, but their acting gigs are only just beginning. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Fitzpatrick and Amukamara donned some wigs and reenacted a scene from Pretty Little Liars. Amukamara played the role of Alison, the “it girl,” and Fitzpatrick portrayed Alison’s “rich and competitive best friend,” Spencer.
There’s something about two grown men wearing wigs and talking about high school drama. The reenactment goes about how you’d expect. Fitzpatrick and Amukamara are (deliberately?) terrible actors, which makes the whole thing that much funnier—that, and the dialogue is extremely vague. Apparently, each girl has a big secret that she doesn’t want the whole world to find out about, but that seems like every high school kid ever. Right at the end, Fitzpatrick can’t take it anymore and starts to break character, but this was soap opera-worthy stuff. Isn’t that what PLL is anyways?
