This past weekend, a fisherman named Joe Morris hauled in an enormously terrifying tiger shark off the coast of South Carolina. The monster measured at 13-feet, 800 pounds.
Something that large swimming in the water sounds scary as all hell, but Morris told Fox Carolina that it’s not really a big deal:
According to Morris, he’s caught three sharks in the past that weighed at least 1,000 pounds.
Morris says it’s nothing out of the ordinary; just before catching the 800 pound tiger shark, he caught a 400 pound shark.
Eight-hundred-pound sharks, especially ones that sneak up on you when you’re just chilling in the ocean, are enough reason to never trek into open water again.
