Tonight are the 36th Sports Emmys and for the first time since 2007, someone other than Bob Costas won the award for Outstanding Studio Personality/Studio Host. This year the award went to TNT’s Ernie Johnson, who received the honor for the third time in his career and the first time since 2006.

While accepting his award, Johnson decided to call up the daughters of the late Stuart Scott, who passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer in January. Johnson — who notably battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma earlier in his broadcasting career — then gave Taelor and Sydni Scott the award in their father’s honor.
