Golfing legend Tiger Woods was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence early Monday morning, resulting in a DUI charge. According to WPTV, Woods was arrested and taken into custody around 3 a.m. ET after authorities caught him on the Military Trail just south of Indian Creek Parkway in Jupiter, Florida. Records made available by the Palm Beach County Jail indicated Woods, a Jupiter resident, was released from custody a few hours later at 10:50 a.m.
In addition to the official arrest record, his mugshot was released to the public shortly thereafter. Golf Channel writer Ryan Lavner tweeted a copy of the incriminating photo soon after:

Not much else is known about Woods’ arrest, and no official comments or statements on the matter have been released. Considering the nature of this breaking story, however, both parties are expected to do just that as the story develops throughout the day. Especially since the past few years for the golfer’s public and professional life haven’t been his most positive.
Woods has struggled to stay healthy with reoccurring back problems causing him to have multiple surgeries which have derailed his most recent efforts at returning to the PGA Tour. Outside of his playing career, things haven’t gone much better from his confusing “Mac Daddy Santa” tweeted photo this past Christmas, to his viral botched attempt to pose with Team USA at the Ryder Cup, the 41-year-old golfing star has been having a terrible time as far as public relations are concerned.
