MMA fighter Alex Nicholson has a 6-1 overall record including five straight first round wins, and he’s getting set to make his UFC debut at Fight Night 82 in Las Vegas on Saturday night against Misha Curkonov.
You would think his debut fight in the UFC would be the biggest thing on Nicholson’s mind as he got set for the weigh-in on Friday, but he actually had something else he had to take care of first: proposing to his girlfriend right on the stage.
After Nicholson took his clothes off and handed them to his girlfriend, he pulled out an engagement ring and popped the question right then and there to a stunned audience.
Nicholson and his new fiancé didn’t have much time to celebrate though, as immediately afterwards he had to step on the scale and then face-off with his opponent. Thankfully, he made weight or else that would have gone down as one of the worst proposals in history.
The moment of getting engaged is something many women (and some men too) dream about, but I’m guessing very few of them imagine it going down with FS1 cameras and three scantily clad ring girls present. To make his decision even more curious, just look at the romantic opportunity Nicholson had just one day earlier.
