Well, there you go. Food Network just released a statement saying they “will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.” Not exactly a huge shock given what transpired over the past 72 hours or so, but still, if you had said on Monday that Paula Deen would be out at Food Network by the end of the week, people probably would have looked at you like you were crazy. Or, say, like you just responded to the question “Have you ever said the N-word?” with “Of course.” One or the other.
