Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox, 8:30 p.m.) — It took a few episodes to really find itself, but I’ve officially gone from the “It has potential” bandwagon to “It’s a great show” bandwagon. This publication, though it doesn’t have much evidence to support it, believes that Brooklyn Nine-Nine could “save the sitcom.” Despite low ratings, the fact that Fox is airing it after the Super Bowl at least demonstrates the network has faith in it.
Sons of Anarchy (FX, 10 p.m.) — I am stoked that last week’s episode brought back the fun, now if Kurt Sutter could just rein in the runtime a little, I’d be thrilled. Even better? Walton Goggins will be back tonight.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, 8 p.m.) — Tonight’s episode is called “Girl with the Flower Dress,” and I’ve seen preview images from the episode, and that girl’s dress is not nearly as twee as you’d think. Anyway, that girl is going to help stop a guy who shoots fireballs out of his hand or something.
New Girl (Fox, 9 p.m.) — Tonight’s episode is a Halloween themed one, where Jess throws a Halloween party and teams up with Nick and Winston to cheer up a gloomy Schmidt by pretending to be his childhood hero, Michael Keaton. MICHAEL KEATON! However, Schmidt ends up making a decision that could affect all of them. Uh oh. Is Schmidt moving out?
Mindy Project (Fox, 9:30 p.m.) — Mindy Kaling is trying to broaden her fanbase, as tonight’s episode will take her to an MMA fight (which she confuses for a MoMa exhibit).
Trophy Wife (ABC, 9:30 p.m.) — Oh screw it. Besides Brooklyn Nine-Nine this sitcom has emerged as my second favorite of the season. Gotta problem with that?
LATE NIGHT LISTINGS: Leno has Kristen Chenowith, Al Gore is on Kimmel, Johnny Knoxville is on Fallon, Malcolm Gladwell will be on The Daily Show, and Michael C. Hall will be on Conan, probably still not answering questions about the final season of Dexter.
