Leave it to Henry Rollins to find the truth under a mountain of bullsh*t and dead ducks. In his column for the L.A. Weekly, the former Black Flag screamer shared his thoughts on Phil Robertson, with a clearheadedness many others have lacked. For instance, while he doesn’t agree with what Robertson said, Rollins thinks he “should say any damn thing he wants. I don’t have to like it and I don’t have to watch the show. Problem solved.”
Rollins later adds, commenting on how Duck Dynasty fans will watch the show no matter what, “All A&E needs to do is put a disclaimer at the front about not sharing the views of the Robertson family, etc., and get back to work making one of the sh*ttiest shows ever on television, putting it right up there with another A&E abomination, Growing Up Gotti.” He’s also got a good money-making spinoff for the alleged arts and entertainment network:
On the flip side of things, one of you supremely talented graphic artists should start a comic book series starring the Duck dudes as homosexual bears. Talk about crossover potential. The thing writes itself. At the next major gay pride event, there should be hard-bodied men in camo hot pants, ridiculous beards pasted to their chins, blowing through duck calls. Dick Dynasty is a gay porn series just waiting to happen. (Via)
Or the morbid sequel, D*ck Die-In-His-Hiney. That one’s a bit more niche, though.
