Last night, the cast of Parks and Recreation went on Late Night with Seth Meyers to give the show a Harvest Bestival of a send-off on the night of its series finale. Not only did Chris Pratt share ideas for how he wanted the show to end, but the cast gathered — as they did during the wrap party — to sing “5,000 Candles In The Wind,” a tribute to Pawnee’s own Li’l Sebastian.
The performance didn’t go exactly as planned. Aubrey Plaza and Jim O’Heir started making out while Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott, Retta, Mike Schur, Jon Glaser, and Seth Meyers tried to keep singing the lyrics instead of laughing at the unexpected April-on-Jerry action.
We’re going to miss unexpected moments like this. We’re going to miss Parks and Recreation. Maybe someday, we’ll saddle up again.
