On Tuesday, SABC3 contributing reporter Vuyo Mvoko was mugged on the streets of South Africa while cameras were rolling. Mvoko was preparing a live interview, covering Zambian President Edgar Lungu’s arrival to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg. Instead, he and his crew were robbed at gunpoint, and their cell phones and production laptop were stolen.
Thankfully, Mvoko and his crew were unharmed. The crime has since been reported to the police, and given the camera time these muggers got, it shouldn’t be long before justice is served.
