The hook of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” Late Late Show segment is the same as what can undermine it, your celebrity passenger needs to be down to have some fun and pull back the curtain a bit. That’s exactly what Jennifer Hudson did during last night’s edition, chit chatting with Corden about the smell of Oprah, her time working at Burger King, and her wrestler boyfriend all while singing the hell out of some of her own songs and a few well curated numbers.
There’s also the priceless moment when the two sing their order into a fast food menu, complete with Corden going full R. Kelly… well, maybe not full R. Kelly, but the guy’s impression sure makes me believe I can fly.
