While FX has yet to announce an exact release date for the second season of Fargo, the network just unloaded a whole slew of new clips to promote the upcoming new episodes. Of the 12 new clips, the above trailer gives us the most insight into the story Lou Solverson — played here by Patrick Wilson — referenced multiple times in the show’s first season.
The new episodes will take place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1979. By the looks of things, Noah Hawley’s series will continue delivering the pacing, quirky violence, and performances that initially put the first 10-episodes at the top of our best-of list last year.
If the above video isn’t enough to stave off your needs, check out these two clips below featuring the blood red hands of Peggy Blumquist (Kirsten Dunst) and Sheriff Hank Larsson (Ted Danson) enjoying a quaint little coffee break.

Needless to say, we’re unabashedly intrigued and excited for season two to arrive. Take a trip on over to FX’s YouTube channel to feast your eyes on some of the shorter, more obscure teasers for the series. The second season of Fargo will also feature appearances by Nick Offerman as the town lawyer as well as Bruce Campbell as Ronald Reagan. Stay tuned as it looks like Fargo will return to TV sometime this October.
