ABC New York news anchor Lisa Colagrossi has died following a “catastrophic brain aneurysm” while on a live report. From The Daily News:
The aneurysm struck Colagrossi on her way back from a live report at the scene of a four-alarm fire in Woodhaven, Queens, that tore through a series of homes late Wednesday night.
“She was in the news van after finishing her live shot when she said ‘Oh my God, something is wrong,’ ” a friend said.
A co-worker said that her producer flagged down an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital.

That sorta shows just how quick it can all go, without warning or discrimination. WABC released a statement on her passing, noting her long career and contribution to the station:
“She was an amazing reporter, committed to Eyewitness News,” said the statement. “She was dedicated to telling a story with honesty, a working woman, a hockey mom, she was gutsy and fearless.” Colagrossi, who worked at the station for almost 14 years, leaves behind a husband and two sons.
Colagrossi won two Emmys for her reporting at WKMG in Orlando and is survived by her two sons and husband, Todd. Rest in peace.
