The members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan may look like they have it all. But one thing that’s in short supply within that family is a healthy sense of self-awareness. And in many respects, taste.
The latest example of such shortcomings came last week when young Kylie Jenner, a wax statue come to life, decided it would be totally cool to pose for a photo shoot with Interview magazine in a gold wheelchair as a way to express how “crippling” it is to be famous.
Insert any number of jokes here.
Anyway, a woman with an actual disability going by the name of Erin, decided to hit back at Jenner, Interview and the insensitive image they decided to share with the world via a split image posted on Tumblr. She wrote:
“I tried my best to create a more authentic version of Kylie Jenner’s Interview cover, given that I’m, you know, actually disabled and a real life wheelchair user. I can barely get people to make eye contact with me, let alone land a cover shoot. If being in a wheelchair is trendy now, I’ve apparently been a trendsetter since before Kylie was born.”
Excellent work, Erin.
