Of the many characters SNL has introduced in the last decade, none have been quite as prescient as Drunk Uncle. Inebriated family members have been embarrassing nieces and nephews since Keystone has been bottling gutter water, but Drunk Uncle, as played with slurred perfection by Bobby Moynihan, isn’t just any drunk uncle — he’s Donald Trump in an ugly sweater.
That’s especially true this holiday season. Trump has been a mainstay in the news in 2015, partially because he’s running for president and partially because he’s said a lot of dumb, racist things while running for president, and drunk uncles have a lot to say about the NFL logo inspiration. Most of it positive.
It’s, to use Trump’s favorite non-schlonged word, “disgusting.”
