Riley Keough has the family history of a Lord of the Rings character. She’s the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, and former-stepdaughter of Michael Jackson AND Nicolas Cage. When she’s not busy explaining her genealogy or modeling, Keough also acts, which is why she was cast in Starz’s The Girlfriend Experience, based on the Steven Soderbergh movie starring Sasha Grey of the same name.
The rising actress appeared in a small role in Soderbergh’s Magic Mike and clearly made an impression, and next summer, she’ll appear in the blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road.
Plot details are yet to be revealed, but the show will be inspired by Soderbergh’s movie that follows a high priced escort whose services go beyond the carnal, providing her clients with “the girlfriend experience,” stoking relationships that extend beyond the bedroom. (Via)
I liked the movie, so I’ll hopefully enjoy the show, although I would prefer a Brady Bunch-esque sitcom starring Keough, Lisa Marie, Nic Cage, Elvis and MJ’s holograms, and Dr. John W. Thackery from The Knick. Not Clive Owen, but Dr. John W. Thackery. Make that happen, Soderbergh.
