A few weeks ago, a friend of mine, Daniel Carlson, thought it’d be fun to juxtapose quotes from “The Wire” with images from “Downton Abbey.” Another friend, Joanna Robinson, ran with it and posted her own of Maggie Smith from “Downton ‘Motherf***ing Abbey” borrowing Omar’s most famous line (the first image in this slide show). The idea got me thinking: every show should have an Omar Little. Hell, in a way, most already do. How many shows do we watch and love have a loner anti-hero who becomes the main draw of the show? It’s downright eerie how natural Omar’s signature lines fit in the mouths of those shows characters. Bizarre, really.
