As it’s filmed primarily in Northern Ireland, Game of Thrones is jam-packed full of actors from all over the United Kingdom who represent many of the region’s accents. That makes it a particularly fun show to practice impressions for, which is what voice actor Scheiffer Bates from South Wales has been doing for the past couple of years. His latest impressions video for season six is out now, and it’s his best one ever.
Scheiffer is one of the most famous people doing Game of Thrones impressions out there. He appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to compete in a Jon Snow soundalike contest and was only beaten out by Canadian Steve Love, who actually landed a cameo on Game of Thrones. (Spoiler alert: the Hound chops his head off with an axe.) But Bates wins the internet with way more subscribers and viewers, so he’s got that going for him.
His impressions are pretty great, too. From his dead-on Jon Snow and Varys, to season six departees like Ramsay Bolton and The High Sparrow, Scheiffer Bates has almost every character voice locked down. And even if he didn’t make it onto Game of Thrones itself, his voices have gotten him onto numerous TV programs and radio stations. So if he keeps it up, he may still earn the honor of being decapitated in Westeros.
