However you feel about the Kardashians (love that Khloe), there’s no denying they’re a cultural mainstay. That’s why their show has been going on so long and why people are paying $3 a month to use their apps. But you know who probably really hates The Kardashians? The people who have to watch the show and make sure all the closed-captioning is correct. And that’s probably how this gem, a snippet of conversation that refers to Kris Jenner as a w**** ended up on the show. Can someone check on Kris, though? I bet she’s livid.
According to Wendy Molyneux, a writer on Bob’s Burgers and a Kardashian enthusiast, she was just innocently watching the show (because it relaxes her to watch rich people recline on nice furniture) when she heard Khloe (who’s just come off a successful “glitter up the butt” photoshoot) ask “where’s my mother?” Unfortunately for whoever runs the closed-captioning over on the show, they heard something completely different.
You can’t blame them because it’s not like the ladies on this show haven’t said similar things, but you’ve got to wonder whether this little kerfuffle is going to end up causing some excess drama in the Jenner-Kardashian household. Part of me wants to see this become the central point of the finale, but another part just wants the stars of the show not to notice so the closed-captioning guru we need and deserve can continue slipping little easter eggs into our reality entertainment.
