Natalie Dormer may be a bonafide movie star with her latest role in The Hunger Games Mockingjay: Part 1, but she’s got another job too; working on this little show for HBO called Game of Thrones. The actress, who plays master manipulator Margery Tyrell on the George R.R. Martin fantasy-series has been asked to act in some pretty difficult scenes over the years, and while she deserves a long, slow clap for dealing with that bastard King Joffrey for two seasons, it’s her scenes with another Lannister that were reportedly difficult for the actress to film.
During her Reddit AMA today, Dormer was asked if any of her scenes in the HBO drama were particularly hard for the actress to be in and she had this answer ready:
Uhhhhhhhhh. I tried very hard to find the line of manipulation of Tommen in this last season. It was a difficult thing for me and the creators to get the right tone on. We tried our best.
Yeah, watching Margery try to mack on a 12-year old by sneaking into his bedroom late at night and spewing out some uncomfortable innuendos was pretty awkward for us, too. Luckily Ser Pounce was there to save the day.
