In case you haven’t heard, UPROXX favorite Patton Oswalt has a new one-hour standup special airing tonight on EPIX. (In other “don’t forget to set your DVR” news, Neal Brennan has a one hour standup special airing Saturday night on Comedy Central.) The cable network was apparently supposed to make the special available online for viewing late last night. However, things did not go so swimmingly. We know this because we watched Oswalt virtually have a conniption on Twitter when things didn’t go as planned.
First off, there was all kinds of confusion as to when the special was going to air on EPIX. I know this because I was confused myself. Was it airing Thursday or Friday? Cable TV listings said Friday, but the EPIX website made it seem that it was airing on Thursday night…
And then the special wasn’t available online as it had been promised in advance…
From there Oswalt posted a series of tweets laying out the various jokes/bits he presents in the special. After concluding, he continued spitting hot venom…
Patton, just let us here at UPROXX host your next comedy special. I promise you we can do better.
