Rosie Perez is reportedly leaving The View after just four months on the show. The actress joined the show in September along with Rosie O’Donnell and Nicole Wallace in an effort by the network to improve ratings in its 18th season.
Perez took a break from her hosting duties for a role on Broadway’s “Fish in the Dark” but she was expected to return at the end of the month. Now, it looks like Perez is gone for good. According to New York Daily News, sources have confirmed the newly-minted host won’t be filling her seat at the Hot Topics table anytime soon and that the actress was having difficulty keeping up with the demands and pace of the long-standing morning talk-show.
ABC for its part has yet to confirm or officially announce Perez’s departure but they have been testing other young co-hosts to take her place.
