SNL has been on for 41 seasons. I’m willing to bet last night’s episode was the first one to reference Dinosaurs. The ladies in the cast, who previously did fine musical work in “(Do It on My) Twin Bed” and “Dongs All Over the World,” and host Elizabeth Banks became girl band Infinity + 5 with their hit song and ode to the first person who made them feel things, “First Got Horny 2 U.”
For Cecily Strong, it was TRL host Carson Daly; Kate McKinnon, Taylor Hanson (it’s how she learned she was “gay as hell”); Elizabeth Banks, Mr. Sheffield from The Nanny (real name Charles Shaughnessy); Vanessa Bayer, those guys that killed their mom and dad, or maybe Jonathan Taylor Thomas; and Aidy Bryant, cool-ass Robbie from Dinosaurs. Not only is it a well-written, catchy song, with an impressively smooth music video, “First Got Horny 2 U” is also a conversation starter: who was the first person you got horny 2?
I bet it was either David Bowie as the well-endowed, magic-dancing Goblin King from Labyrinth, or Jennifer Connelly from Labyrinth. Someone, or maybe something (looking at you, Hoggle) from Labyrinth.
